Ron DeSantis’ Debate Performance Compared to Having a Colonoscopy Live on Stage, 2012 GOP Candidate Claims

Former Republican candidate and former Utah Governor, Jon Huntsman Jr., recently critiqued Florida Governor Ron DeSantis following his third debate performance. Describing DeSantis as appearing to have a “colonoscopy live on stage,” Huntsman offered an unimpressed evaluation of his debate delivery. Huntsman labeled DeSantis’ declining poll numbers and lackluster performance during the debate a “foregone conclusion,” declaring former President Donald Trump the inevitable GOP nominee.
Huntsman, known for his political neutrality and involvement with the centrist No Labels group, conveyed his skepticism regarding DeSantis’ abilities to surpass Trump as the GOP nominee. He extended high regard to former South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley. In contrast, Huntsman lamented the level of noise and lack of profound substance within the debates, attributing much of it to “throwaway lines and rhetoric.”
DeSantis’ camp has not released a formal response to Huntsman’s critical observations. For more details, read the full article on Business Insider.
