Rick Scott Urges Biden Administration to Revoke Iranian Foreign Minister’s Visa

Senator , representing Florida, is urging President Biden to revoke Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian’s visa following his threatening speech at the United Nations General Assembly. In an X post, Scott emphasized the need to take immediate action, stating that the United States cannot tolerate threats from terror-sponsors.

Scott reposted a clip of Abdollahian’s warning, where he stated that if the war in Gaza continues, the United States will not be spared from the fire of the war in the region. Concerned about the safety and well-being of the nation, Scott believes it is crucial to address this issue promptly.

In addition to his stance on the Iranian foreign minister, Scott is actively advocating for a separate allocation of $14.3 billion in aid for Israel, apart from the larger $105 billion foreign aid package requested by President Biden. Scott has been vocal about the potential risks of terrorist attacks, advocating for strengthened security measures at the U.S.-Mexico border.

Together with Senator Tim Scott (R-S.C.) and fellow Republicans, Scott introduced legislation to freeze the $6 billion in assets initially intended for transfer to Iran as part of a prisoner exchange negotiation led by the Biden administration. Presently, these assets remain frozen in Qatar as a precautionary measure.
