Located on the high street, this 300-year-old pub is the exterior setting for The Crown & Anchor in the show. Inside, you’ll find AFC Richmond merchandise and photos of the cast. The pub is conveniently situated next to Richmond Green, a lovely park featured in the series.
After satisfying my “Ted Lasso” curiosity, I took a stroll along the riverside path of the Thames. With a satisfied stomach, I continued my exploration by visiting Richmond Park. This vast Royal Park provides ample opportunities for walking and enjoying nature. I made my way to King Henry’s Mound, where I marveled at the view of St. Paul’s Cathedral in the distance. Pembroke Lodge, a tea room and wedding venue, provided even more breathtaking panoramic views.
For history enthusiasts, a visit to Ham House is a must. This historic mansion, built in 1610, still retains its original furnishings and offers a glimpse into the past. Other nearby historic homes open to visitors include Marble Hill House and Orleans House Gallery.
As I concluded my day in Richmond, I couldn’t help but appreciate the tranquility and charm of this town. “Ted Lasso” has certainly put it on the map, and I hope more travelers will discover its hidden gems.
