Heuermann resides in Massapequa Park, where he purchased a modest home in 1994. The one-story residence, built in 1956, encompasses 1,323 square feet and features a full basement and one fireplace.
Heuermann was arrested following the match of DNA from victim Megan Waterman’s hair with his own. He was taken into custody after authorities surveilled both his home and office. The arrest is in connection with the “Gilgo Four” murders, which involved the discovery of women wrapped in burlap. He pleaded not guilty to three counts of first-degree murder and other charges related to the deaths that occurred over a decade ago. Heuermann is also considered the prime suspect in another killing.
