Revealing the Restored 19th Century Townhouses in the Meatpacking District

Coming soon to the bustling intersection of Ninth Avenue and West 14th Street is an incredibly beautiful and undoubtedly expensive addition to the Meatpacking area. Tavros, a renowned development firm led by Dov Barnett and Nicholas Silvers, is nearing completion of 50 Ninth. This project consists of a collection of historic 19th Century townhouses located next to the iconic Old Homestead Steakhouse.

The restoration of 50 Ninth involved replacing the damaged facades with original and vintage brick sourced from different parts of the United States. These exquisite bricks will be used for the retail spaces on both Ninth Avenue and 14th Street. Additionally, the project includes a stunning nine-story boutique office building, designed by BKSK, nestled behind the townhouses and enveloped in a sleek glass facade.

Sole Source Capital, a private equity firm based in Dallas, has already leased the fifth floor of this magnificent building. The asking rent for this 6,000 square-foot floor was a staggering $180 per square foot, widely believed to be the highest rate in the entire area.
