Reportedly, a significant upgrade is anticipated for next year.

Apple has big plans for its iPad Pro in 2024, with major updates on the horizon. According to a report from Bloomberg, the tech giant is set to introduce a new Magic Keyboard, shift to the M3 chip, and enhance the displays to be brighter and sharper.

While Apple has made subtle improvements to its iPad lineup in recent years, such as camera and sensor upgrades, this overhaul of the iPad Pro would mark the first significant update since 2018. The revamped iPad Pro is expected to give a boost to iPad sales, which have declined to their lowest level since the start of the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020. During its fiscal third quarter, iPad revenue fell by 20% compared to the previous year.

The new updates from Apple are likely to entice consumers to splurge on an upgrade, especially considering that iPad Pros are the company’s most expensive tablets. The upcoming iPad Pro will support a new and improved Magic Keyboard, featuring a larger trackpad that will give the tablet a more laptop-like feel. Additionally, it will be the first Apple tablet to feature the M3 chip and OLED display, both of which have been mainstays in the iPhone lineup since 2017.

The new iPad Pro will be available in both an 11-inch and 13-inch size, slightly larger than the previous 12.9-inch model. Although the tablet will not be announced at Apple’s upcoming launch event in September, it is expected to make its debut in either the spring or summer of next year, according to the report.
