Reese Witherspoon emphasizes the need to edit friendships.
During a sit-down interview at Inbound 2023, an annual networking conference hosted by Hubspot in Boston, the actor shared her insights on maintaining friendships over the years [source].
According to Witherspoon, “Editing. Edit your friendships… If you aren’t adding to my life, get the heck outta my life. My grandmother used to say, ‘People are either radiators or drains. Stick around the radiators and get rid of the drains.'”
Earlier in the interview, a statement from Witherspoon’s friend and fellow actor Laura Dern was read. Dern expressed that Reese is the “gold standard of what it means to be a champion” and praised her support for art, other artists, friends, and family.
