Red Sox Outfielder Jarren Duran’s Impressive Hit Streak Ends Despite Two-Hit Game

Jarren Duran, a talented player for the Boston Red Sox, did not initially make the team’s Opening Day roster. However, he was eventually called up to the big leagues and has become an integral part of the team. Recently, Duran had an incredible game against the Toronto Blue Jays, where he achieved five hits. Following their off day on Monday, the Red Sox faced the Texas Rangers on the Fourth of July.

On Tuesday, Duran continued his impressive performance by hitting a double and a triple, extending his hit streak to seven consecutive at-bats. Unfortunately, in the fifth inning, he popped out to the shortstop, ending the streak.

Jarren Duran’s success has been remarkable, as he recorded six extra-base hits in his last two games within the past 10 seasons, cementing his name in the Red Sox’s history books. Despite his individual accomplishments, Duran remains focused on helping the team win.

The Red Sox faced a setback with a 6-2 loss to the Rangers, ending their three-game winning streak. Currently, the team has a record of 43-43 and sits in last place in the AL East, trailing the division-leading Tampa Bay Rays by 13 games.

It’s worth noting that former Red Sox outfielder Jackie Bradley Jr. achieved the same feat of six extra-base hits in 2015, while Mookie Betts, a former Red Sox player now with the Los Angeles Dodgers, accomplished it in 2018.
