Reward Offered for Information on Murder Suspect
Authorities are offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to the arrest of a 50-year-old male felon suspected of murder. Cesar Villarreal, a former resident of Baldwin Park, is wanted by the FBI for his alleged involvement in a shooting death in Los Angeles County on May 21, 2010.
According to FBI officials, Villarreal, a Fresno native, is believed to be currently residing in Mexico. They describe him as a known gang member and felon, with possible connections to Oregon.
Argument Escalates into Tragedy
The FBI reports that on May 21, 2010, Villarreal was involved in an argument with two men while out with his two daughters at a store. Allegedly, Villarreal pointed a gun at the men, who quickly fled the scene. Later, driving his pickup truck without his daughters, Villarreal located the men and shot at them, resulting in the death of one and injury of the other.
Facing Severe Charges
Villarreal was eventually charged with murder, and a warrant for his arrest was issued on June 11, 2010. Additionally, on August 27, 2010, he was charged with unlawful flight to avoid prosecution at the federal level, leading to a federal arrest warrant.
Accomplices Suspected
The FBI believes that Villarreal may be in the company of his longtime companion, Obdulia Medina. They could also be accompanied by Medina’s 22-year-old daughter, Aileen Cecille Rey Diaz, and the couple’s 17-year-old daughter, Ahtziri Citlalli Villarreal-Medina.
Villarreal is described as 5 feet 7 inches tall, weighing approximately 165 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. He bears scars on his back and left ankle.
