Prince William’s Adorable Gifts for His Kids in New York: See the Top Three Selections

NEW YORK ― Prince William concluded his brief but eventful visit to New York by delighting fans at an FDNY firehouse.

During the visit, the Prince of Wales received gifts from a devoted royal admirer named Alyssa Budihas. Budihas, an attorney, had the opportunity to speak with the press, including HuffPost, after her encounter with Prince William.

Budihas expressed her gratitude for his visit and presented him with three ‘I ❤️ NY’ T-shirts, one for each of his children: Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis. She excitedly shared that she purchased the shirts from a nearby souvenir shop and felt her hands shake as the prince approached her.

In addition to the T-shirts, Budihas also bought souvenir New York license plates with the names “William” and “Catherine” for the Prince and Princess of Wales.

You can watch the heartfelt exchange between Budihas and Prince William in the video recorded by HuffPost below:

Budihas, a lifelong New Yorker and devoted royal supporter, described herself as “very overwhelmed” by the encounter. She expressed her gratitude for the prince’s kindness and grace, stating that he surpassed her expectations. She also felt a sense of destiny as the royal visit took place just two blocks away from her office.

During his visit to the firehouse, Prince William received additional gifts, including rubber fire trucks with Ten House’s logo, as well as pens, notebooks, and T-shirts.

The Prince of Wales began the second day of his New York trip by meeting with Ecuadorian President Guillermo Lasso and first lady Maria de Lourdes Alcívar Crespo at the 78th U.N. General Assembly. Their meeting took place at the official residence of the British consul general, which featured an authentic Andy Warhol print of Queen Elizabeth, William’s grandmother.

The meeting coincided with the one-year anniversary of Queen Elizabeth’s funeral.

During the meeting, Prince William praised Ecuador for their remarkable environmental initiatives, which included efforts highlighted in an article by Axios and an AP News report on Amazon drilling. Afterward, he headed to the Earthshot Innovation Summit held at the U.N. Plaza.

Former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg opened the summit, co-hosted by Bloomberg Philanthropies, with lighthearted comments about the prince’s immense popularity.

Prince William recently gained significant popularity in the United States, as demonstrated by a viral Gallup poll that found he was the most well-received figure across political affiliations. Over 60% of both Democrats and Republicans held a positive view of him, marking a rare moment of unity. Bloomberg humorously remarked that such bipartisanship hadn’t been seen since 1776 and raised a toast to the prince’s health.

After engaging panel discussions featuring former New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern and Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates, the Prince of Wales participated in a fireside chat at the summit. He mentioned that earlier in the day, he had even gone for a run in Central Park.

William expressed his joy at waking up to a sunny morning in New York and commented on the positive atmosphere of the city. At the summit, he also confirmed his attendance at the 2023 Earthshot Prize Awards ceremony in Singapore on Nov.
