Prince William, the Prince of Wales, took to social media on Saturday to issue a heartfelt apology for his absence from the upcoming Women’s World Cup final in Australia, where England will face Spain. The apology was accompanied by a photo of Prince William and his daughter Princess Charlotte, emphasizing their support for the team.

England secured their spot in the final after a thrilling semifinal match against Australia, winning 2-1 with two late goals. Meanwhile, Spain made a historic run to the final after defeating Sweden in their semifinal match.

Prince William, who also holds the title of FA President, the head of Britain’s football association, faced criticism for not traveling to Australia to support the team in person. However, through his apology video, he expressed his pride in the team’s achievements and the inspiration they have provided to millions of fans worldwide.

The Women’s World Cup final will take place at Sydney’s Allianz Stadium, which opened last August at a cost of approximately $528 million. The stadium, expected to be filled with more than 80,000 spectators, will witness this highly anticipated match between England and Spain.

As the video concludes, Princess Charlotte chimes in to wish the team good luck, adding her own message of support for the Lionesses.
