Potential Connection Between Canadian Chef and 88 UK Deaths Under Investigation

Canadian chef Kenneth Law, who was arrested in May for his involvement in two suicides, is now being investigated for potential connections to a larger number of deaths in Canada and abroad. Law allegedly sold sodium nitrite, a substance that is commonly used for meat curing but can be fatal in its pure form, to vulnerable individuals in multiple countries. According to the UK’s National Crime Agency, out of the 232 customers on Law’s list, 88 of them have died. Although the agency has not yet confirmed a direct link between the deaths and the kits Law shipped from Toronto, the investigation is ongoing and in its early stages.

It has been reported that Law also sold equipment that could be used for suicides, including gas masks and rubber tubing, through his business called Escape Mode. The majority of the sodium nitrite was sold under Law’s business name, Imtime Cuisine. Investigators have discovered that Law sent over 1,200 packages to more than 40 countries. He is currently under investigation in the United States, Italy, Australia, and New Zealand. Law’s arrest came shortly after a report from The Times of London exposed his activities in April. In an undercover interaction with a reporter posing as a potential customer, Law admitted that numerous individuals had died after using his product.

During the undercover exchange, Law provided the reporter with instructions on how to use the product to end their life. He claimed that 95% of his customers had some sort of health issue or were elderly. However, The Times could not find any individuals over the age of 40 in the UK who had died from consuming Law’s product. The youngest victim identified was just 17 years old. In Canada, Law is facing two counts of counseling or aiding suicide, which carries a maximum sentence of 14 years in prison. If extradited to the UK, he will face the same charges and maximum sentence.

For those concerned that their loved ones may have purchased Law’s products, investigators advise keeping an eye out for packages or transactions associated with the following companies: Imtime Cuisine, AmbuCA, Academic/ACademic, Escape Mode/escMode, and ICEmac.
