A horrifying discovery was made when a cellphone belonging to a Tennessee soccer coach was left behind at a restaurant. Police found hundreds of pictures and videos on the phone, depicting unconscious boys between the ages of 9 and 17 being raped. The accused, Camilo Hurtado Campos, 63, allegedly filmed these heinous acts over a span of two decades, as reported by WAFB. Campos has been charged with child rape and sexual exploitation of a minor, with more charges expected to follow. The phone was discovered on June 22 at the restaurant, prompting the staff to unlock it in hopes of finding its owner. Instead, they were met with disturbing videos and pictures, leading to Campos’ subsequent arrest.
According to police, Campos, who has resided in Franklin, a city near Nashville, for 20 years, exploited his position as a coach to prey on underage boys, as stated by NBC News. He would frequent school playgrounds in the neighborhoods where he lived, approaching children and recruiting them to join his team. After gaining their trust, Campos would invite the boys to his home, where he would drug and rape them. At least 10 victims have been identified, with potentially more victims yet to be discovered due to the extensive collection of photos and videos.
