Plan Ahead: Closure of I-80 between Grand Prairie and Jordan Creek Parkway on Dec. 11 and 12

Prepare for the closure of the eastbound Interstate 80 near West Des Moines on Monday, Dec. 11 and Tuesday, Dec. 12. The closure will span from 8:30 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. each night between Grand Prairie Parkway (exit 118) and Jordan Creek Parkway (exit 112) on I-80. This action is necessary for the removal of an overhead truss and installation of a new one, as reported by the Iowa Department of Transportation.

To accommodate the closure, a designated detour will guide drivers using Grand Prairie Parkway, University Avenue, and Jordan Creek Parkway.
