Pete Davidson Faces Reckless Driving Charges Following Beverly Hills Crash in March

“Saturday Night Live” actor Pete Davidson has been charged with one count of misdemeanor reckless driving following an incident earlier this year in which he crashed a car into a home in Beverly Hills.

The Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office confirmed the charge, stating that Mr. Davidson’s reckless driving led to a serious collision with a home. Fortunately, no serious injuries were reported as a result of the crash.

CBS Los Angeles reports that the crash occurred late at night on March 4 in a residential neighborhood. Entertainment Tonight also reported that Mr. Davidson’s girlfriend, Chase Sui Wonders, was in the vehicle at the time of the incident. Beverly Hills police confirmed that Mr. Davidson had collided with a fire hydrant during the crash.

In Los Angeles, a reckless driving charge can result in up to 90 days in jail and a $1,000 fine. The DA’s office emphasized the importance of taking reckless driving allegations seriously, citing the recent increase in traffic fatalities in the city.

CBS News reached out to Mr. Davidson’s representatives for comment, but has not received a response at this time. His arraignment is scheduled for July 27.
