Pete Davidson Escapes Jail Sentence in Beverly Hills Accident

Former “Saturday Night Live” star Pete Davidson has agreed to participate in a diversion program to resolve a misdemeanor charge stemming from a car crash in Beverly Hills earlier this year, according to prosecutors. The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office confirmed that the 29-year-old comedian will complete 50 hours of community service and 12 hours of traffic school as part of an 18-month diversion program. The community service can be fulfilled in New York, with Davidson likely completing the hours through the New York City Fire Department. He will also make restitution payments of an undisclosed amount.

It is worth noting that Davidson has a strong connection to the FDNY, as his father was a firefighter who tragically lost his life during the September 11, 2001 attacks. The incident in question occurred on March 4, when Davidson crashed his vehicle into a home in Beverly Hills. Fortunately, no serious injuries were reported. His girlfriend, Chase Sui Wonders, was also in the vehicle at the time. Davidson was charged with reckless driving in June and faced a maximum sentence of up to 90 days in jail.
