Part One: Unveiling the infamous Great British Motorcycle Scam | Podcast | News

Neil Davies found himself trapped in a business failure and drowning in money worries when a phone call offered him a solution. The caller claimed that by transferring his pension pot to the Norton Motorcycles scheme, Davies could invest in a flourishing business and receive tax-free cash back. Little did Davies know, this was only the beginning of a terrifying nightmare that he has yet to escape.

As Simon Goodley tells Nosheen Iqbal, the Norton saga is a slow-motion crash. What started as the revival of a prestigious motoring brand unraveled into a failing business that brought down unsuspecting investors, many of whom could not afford the devastating losses.

Stuart Garner, the man behind the attempted revival of Norton, received an eight-month suspended prison sentence last year for his involvement in pension crimes. Judge Shant stated during the sentencing that if Garner had gained significant personal profits from his offenses, he would have been immediately sent to jail. Garner has continuously claimed that he too was a victim of fraudsters and has chosen not to respond to requests for comment.
