The Garden State of New Jersey is about to become even more environmentally friendly with the upcoming construction of a new Topgolf facility in the northern region. NJ.com reports that this will be the state’s third Topgolf installation, following the success of the driving range and entertainment complex in other locations. The town of Parsippany has been diligently working towards local approval for the construction of this three-deck golfer’s paradise, which is set to feature 102 swing bays. The zoning board of Parsippany has recently given the green light for the project, and further governmental approvals are expected to follow easily. The planned facility will cover an area of 67,500 square feet and will be located between I-80 and Route 46, near Beverwyck Road. It will replace four empty office buildings and will be situated between a park and a shopping center. The size of the upcoming Topgolf location is comparable to the existing ones in Edison, NJ, and Holtsville, Long Island, both of which have over 100 bays spread across three stories. New Jersey’s other existing Topgolf spot, located in Mount Laurel, is also of similar scale. The construction timeline for the new facility has yet to be determined. Topgolf currently operates a total of 90 facilities throughout the United States, with many located in Florida and Texas. Rhode Island will soon have its first Topgolf location in Cranston. Topgolf is well-known as a hotspot for golf enthusiasts as well as those simply seeking a good time with friends and family. The success of the business can be attributed to its ability to attract both golf lovers and newcomers to the sport. This is achieved through the use of light-up targets and themed games, comfortable seating areas equipped with large TVs, and food and drink service. Devoted golfers can make use of GPS-tracked balls, which provide detailed information about their swing’s location, velocity, and slice.
