Paris Saint-Germain Puts Kylian Mbappé on the Transfer Market Following Pre-Season Tour Exclusion

Paris Saint-Germain has made the decision to put Kylian Mbappé on the market for transfer after excluding him from their pre-season tour of Japan. Mbappé had previously informed PSG that he would not be accepting a one-year contract extension next summer, instead preferring to leave on a free transfer while remaining in Paris. However, PSG’s president, Nasser Al-Khelaifi, has stated that Mbappé must either sign a contract extension or leave the club. PSG feels betrayed as they suspect that Mbappé has already agreed to a free transfer with Real Madrid.

Mbappé has not yet responded to Al-Khelaifi’s statement, but he will not be part of manager Luis Enrique’s squad traveling to Japan for the pre-season tour. Al-Khelaifi reiterated his stance, saying that if Mbappé wants to stay, he must sign a new contract, as PSG does not want to lose the best player in the world without receiving any fee. Despite the contract situation, Mbappé’s transfer fee is expected to be astronomical, limiting the number of clubs that can afford him. Nevertheless, elite clubs across Europe, particularly in the Premier League, will be interested in his availability. Previously, Manchester United, Liverpool, and Chelsea have been linked to him, but Real Madrid appears to be the most likely destination. Mbappé has long been admired by Real Madrid’s president, Florentino Pérez, and even after his PSG contract renewal last year, he openly discussed the possibility of joining Madrid.

In a recent friendly match against Le Havre, Mbappé scored a goal for PSG, despite the ongoing speculation surrounding his future. In addition to Mbappé, Neymar’s future at the club has also been subject to speculation. The exclusion of Mbappé from the pre-season tour has generated significant interest and attention across the football world.

PSG’s upcoming tour in Japan includes matches against Al Nassr, led by Cristiano Ronaldo, and Cerezo Osaka. They will also face Internazionale in Tokyo on 1 August and play against South Korean side Jeonbuk Motors two days later.
