This revelation came after comedians Boobay and Super Tekla discovered Contis’ text message to De Leon during a “Phone Raid” challenge on “The Boobay and Tekla Show.” Instead of reading the message aloud, Contis chose to explain its essence and offer his apologies to the hosts and staff. Although he did not receive a response from De Leon, Contis believes that what matters is that he conveyed his intentions to him. Contis also mentioned that a mutual friend informed him that De Leon holds no grudge against him and understands that he is simply doing his job. Contis emphasized that he does not care about the bashers, as the people who matter already know his true intentions. When asked about his relationship with TVJ (Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, and Joey de Leon), Contis expressed that he sees no reason why they wouldn’t be okay, as he did not disrespect them in any way. He also mentioned that he hopes to have a personal conversation with them and work on future projects together. Contis acknowledged that they have the utmost respect for TVJ and know that they cannot replace them, but they are continuing the show to support the staff and the program itself. He believes that TVJ understands that this is strictly work and nothing personal.
