Oracle’s Stunning Police Cruiser Makeover for Cybertruck Steals the Show

Electric vehicles (EVs) have gained significant popularity among police departments in the United States. Tesla models, in particular, are being used as patrol vehicles due to their ease of maintenance and potential fuel savings. The Somerset Police Department was one of the early adopters, purchasing a Model Y for patrol. They estimate that a single Model Y could save them $80,000 in fuel and maintenance costs over a 10-year period.

Although the production and delivery of the Cybertruck have experienced delays, Tesla recently announced that it is on track to start deliveries in the coming weeks. During an earnings call, Tesla CEO Elon Musk mentioned the progress being made on the Cybertruck, stating that deliveries are expected to begin in late September or early October 2023. Musk has also shared images of the Cybertruck on his Twitter account.

While the Cybertruck is highly anticipated and likely to be popular among police departments and other organizations, it remains to be seen how many will choose it as their next cruiser. Tesla faces competition from other companies interested in creating battery-electric police vehicles.
