Aug. 10 (UPI) — Netflix has unveiled a lineup of 10 exciting fan events from August 24th to August 31st in various locations such as Los Angeles and Mexico City, to commemorate the premiere of One Piece.
A live-action adaptation of the beloved Japanese manga and anime series, One Piece is set to release on Netflix on August 31st. The talented Iñaki Godoy takes on the role of Monkey D. Luffy, the determined pirate captain in search of the legendary One Piece treasure.
Mackenyu, Emily Rudd, Jacob Romero, and Taz Skylar portray Luffy’s loyal crew members Roronoa Zoro, Nami, Jacob Romero, and Sanji respectively. Netflix invites fans to join in the fun by donning straw hats, just like Luffy and his crew, at the upcoming events.
The first event will take place on August 24th at 8 p.m. on the iconic Santa Monica Pier. Fans can register for the event at Street Food Cinema.
Netflix suggests following their social media accounts in France, Indonesia, Japan, Italy, Philippines, Thailand, Germany, Brazil, and Mexico for further information on local events. The exact location in Paris, France for the event on August 29th is yet to be announced.
On August 30th, fans can participate in events in Jakarta at Pantai Indah Kapuk, as well as at undisclosed locations in Tokyo, Milan, and Taguig, Metro Manila. The exciting series of events concludes on August 31st with celebrations in Bangkok, Germany, Rio De Janeiro’s Copacabana Beach, and Mexico City’s Frontón Inclán.
