Odeon, the popular cinema chain, is responding to high demand for Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour concert film by arranging additional screenings. With tickets selling out rapidly, Odeon is advising fans to secure their seats soon to avoid disappointment. The film is set to be released in the UK on Friday.
The concert movie captures Taylor Swift’s performances during the US leg of her Eras Tour, showcasing songs from her entire career. Taylor Swift’s presence at the world premiere of the concert film in Los Angeles, accompanied by fellow superstar Beyonce, has further fueled anticipation.
An Odeon spokesperson stated, “Ticket sales opened at 1pm on September 26 and shows are selling out fast. To ensure as many people as possible have the chance to experience this incredible event on the big screen, new screenings are being added where necessary and available. We recommend booking as soon as possible to secure your seats.”
Presale tickets for Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour concert film set a new record for Vue International, surpassing the previous record held by BTS’ Permission To Dance film. Additionally, the film broke a record with AMC Theatres Distribution, generating the highest ticket-sales revenue in a single day in the history of the chain, which stretches back 103 years.
The UK and Ireland leg of Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour is scheduled to begin in Edinburgh next June, followed by performances in cities such as Liverpool, Cardiff, London, and Dublin.
