Genesis, the luxury electric vehicle brand owned by Hyundai, has expanded its sales locations to 10 additional states this week, bringing the total number of states where their EVs are available to 33.
The brand’s EV lineup now includes the GV60 SUV, Electrified GV70 SUV, and Electrified G80 luxury sedan. The GV60 is priced at just under $60,000, offering a compact SUV option to customers.
Prior to this expansion, Genesis EVs were limited to a little over 20 states, mainly those with a robust public charging infrastructure like California and Florida. Of the three models, only the new Electrified GV70 qualifies for the full federal tax credit for eligible buyers. It is manufactured in Alabama.
The 33 states where Genesis EVs are now available include Arizona, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Illinois, Indiana, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, Ohio, Oklahoma, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Washington, and Wisconsin.

To support this sales expansion, Genesis is opening two new retail shops in California and Louisiana. Genesis of South Bay, located near Los Angeles, and Baton Rouge will offer showrooms, test drives, and services for customers.
Genesis has partnered with Electrify America to provide three years of free 30-minute charging sessions at public stations to all new Genesis EV buyers.
