No Winner in Mega Millions: Jackpot Skyrockets to $1.55 Billion on August 4, 2023

NEW YORK (WABC) — The upcoming Mega Millions drawing on Tuesday is poised to challenge the game’s previous record jackpot!

Unfortunately, no ticket matched all six numbers drawn on Friday night.

The winning numbers for Friday were: 45, 30, 52, 56, 11, with a Mega Ball of 20.

However, don’t throw away your tickets just yet. A ticket worth $1 million was sold in Commack.

The estimated jackpot for the next drawing is a staggering $1.55 billion ($757.2 million cash).

It has been an extraordinary 31 consecutive drawings since the last jackpot winner in April.

The jackpot is notoriously difficult to win, with odds of 1 in 302.6 million for matching all the numbers. However, the odds of winning smaller prizes, starting at $2, are relatively better.

In the August 4 drawing, there were a total of 5,331,114 winning tickets across various prize levels. Nine tickets even matched the five white balls to win the second-tier prize, with two of them worth $2 million each due to the optional Megaplier, which was 2X for that drawing. These winning tickets were sold in Michigan and Tennessee.

Another ticket matching five white balls was sold in Tennessee, earning the standard $1 million second-tier prize. Six additional tickets from Louisiana, Missouri, Nebraska, New York, Oklahoma, and Texas also won $1 million each.

You can catch the Mega Millions drawings live on abc7NY.com/lottery every Tuesday and Friday at 10:59 PM.
