Nissan Teases Hyper Tourer Concept ahead of Japan Mobility Show
As the Japan Mobility Show approaches, Nissan is generating excitement for its participation with the Hyper Tourer concept. This fully-electric minivan is designed for individuals who appreciate the finer things in life and enjoy socializing with others, whether it’s for a road trip or a business gathering.
But what sets the Hyper Tourer apart is its ability to adapt seamlessly to different driving scenarios. It offers a fully-autonomous driving mode, but also allows the driver to take control using a conventional steering wheel, pedals, and a central display. Meanwhile, the rear-seat passengers can engage with a wearable display that enables them to access and operate the navigation and audio functions.
In autonomous mode, the front seats can be swiveled to face rearward, creating a casual and conversational atmosphere for the four riders. Adding to the innovation, an AI-based system monitors the riders’ biometric signs, including brain waves, heart rates, and breathing, and uses this data to curate music and lighting that matches the prevailing mood.
All of this is made possible by Nissan’s advanced e-4ORCE all-wheel control system and the use of a futuristic high-density, all-solid-state battery. This battery technology takes up less space without sacrificing power and contributes to a lower center of gravity, enhancing the vehicle’s performance and handling.
