Haley also highlighted the significance of Israel as the frontline of defense against Iran and asserted the need to protect Taiwan to deter China’s aggressive behavior towards the United States. She stated that a well-informed foreign policy is crucial for national security, while criticizing her debate opponent Vivek Ramaswamy for his lack of knowledge in this area. The dispute between Haley and Ramaswamy during the debate grew heated, with Haley condemning the 38-year-old entrepreneur and political novice for his opposition to providing additional assistance to Ukraine, labeling him as “choosing a murderer over a pro-American country” and warning that his stance would compromise American safety.
