August 2, 2023 (UPI) — Apple TV+ is teasing the highly anticipated new special called Snoopy Presents: One-of-a-Kind Marcie.
The streaming service unveiled the trailer for this captivating animated special on Wednesday.
One-of-a-Kind Marcie brings to life the beloved characters from Charles M. Schulz’s iconic comic strip, Peanuts. It will premiere on August 18.
This new special revolves around Marcie, Peppermint Patty’s introverted friend, as she helps Patty prepare for the school golf championship and unexpectedly finds herself elected class president.
An official synopsis reveals, “Suddenly thrust into the spotlight, Marcie struggles to meet the expectations of her new role and withdraws from public view as much as possible.”
“As the golf championship begins, Marcie remains in hiding and Peppermint Patty is compelled to tee off with Charlie Brown stepping in as her caddie.
However, after receiving wise advice and engaging in personal reflection, Marcie realizes that she can still make a significant impact on her friends and the school. She decides to defy others’ expectations and forge her own unique path.”
One-of-a-Kind Marcie is written by the talented Betsy Walters and directed by Raymond S. Persi. The special is a joint production for Apple TV+ by Peanuts and WildBrain, with Craig Schulz, Bryan Schulz, Cornelius Uliano, Paige Braddock, Josh Scherba, Stephanie Betts, and Logan McPherson serving as producers.
In addition to Snoopy Presents: One-of-a-Kind Marcie, Apple TV+ is developing two other captivating Peanuts originals: Camp Snoopy and Snoopy Presents: Welcome Home, Franklin.
