“I had a bag of about 100 in my closet at my mom’s place, and my mom decided it was time for her to reclaim that space,” Trauman recalled. “I had to make a choice: discard them or keep them. So, I chose to keep them, with the intention of acquiring the rest. Little did I anticipate the extent of this endeavor!”
Trauman divulged that his collecting journey began with procuring more affordable dispensers through online platforms such as eBay. Over time, he progressed to acquiring rarer and more valuable items. Additionally, Trauman gratefully acknowledged the contributions of friends and family, as they gifted him various PEZ dispensers throughout his pursuit.
“My sister gave me a Yoda PEZ to support me during my bar exam preparation,” he revealed. “There were many other thoughtful gifts along the way.”
In his North Caldwell residence, Trauman houses numerous dispensers, some of which have been appraised at values exceeding $10,000. Among his prized possessions are PEZ dispensers featuring the likenesses of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
“These dispensers are incredibly rare, as only a few were ever produced. PEZ auctioned them off to raise funds for the Make-A-Wish Foundation,” Trauman explained. “By winning the auction and generously donating to the charity, I was fortunate to secure these exclusive dispensers.”
