‘Neurodevelopmental Disorders’ Diagnosed in 46-year-old Rob McElhenney

Rob McElhenney, the creator of “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia,” has recently disclosed that he has been diagnosed with multiple neurodevelopmental disorders. At the age of 46, he also revealed that he has learning disabilities. In a tweet, McElhenney expressed his hope that sharing this news will offer support to others facing similar situations, assuring them that they are not alone and that they are not defined by their conditions.

McElhenney plans to provide further details about his diagnosis on an upcoming episode of “The Always Sunny Podcast,” in which he will be joined by co-stars Glenn Howerton and Charlie Day.

Last year, McElhenney and his friend Ryan Reynolds underwent “potentially life-saving” colonoscopies after making a bet. Reynolds agreed to film his colonoscopy if McElhenney learned to speak Welsh. The duo partnered with Lead From Behind, an organization focused on colon cancer awareness, to encourage people to undergo the screening at the age of 45.

In a YouTube video released on Reynolds’ channel, the two explained their motivation for sharing the colonoscopy experience and raising awareness of its importance in saving lives.

Reynolds humorously mentioned that he doesn’t typically allow medical procedures to be recorded and shared, but the opportunity to make a difference in people’s lives was well worth it.
