Netflix’s Top-Rated Shows, Excluding ‘The Witcher’

According to Netflix’s public ranking system, “The Witcher” is currently the most popular show on the streaming service. This hit fantasy drama series takes place in a medieval-inspired world filled with magic and monsters. It has consistently held its position in the ranking since the first part of Season 3 premiered on June 29. When the remaining three episodes were released on July 27, it quickly skyrocketed back to the top.

Coming in second on the popularity list is “Sweet Magnolias,” which also made a comeback for its third season on July 20. This romantic drama delves into the lives of three best friends in South Carolina. However, in the streaming era, TV and film writers and actors, including those who worked on the show, are currently on strike, fighting for fair pay and better working conditions.

The current ranking also includes a couple of docuseries. One of them is “How to Become a Cult Leader,” a six-part true-crime series narrated by Peter Dinklage. It explores the tactics employed by cult leaders using real-world examples.

Another series on the list is “Quarterback,” a sports show following a similar format to “Formula 1: Drive to Survive” and “Full Swing,” but focused on professional football. It highlights the challenges and triumphs of NFL quarterbacks Patrick Mahomes, Kirk Cousins, and Marcus Mariota.
