Nestlé Issues Recall of Toll House Cookie Dough Bars Due to Possible Wood Fragment Contamination

Nestle Cookie Dough Recalled: Wood Chips Found in Snacks

Nestle is recalling its Toll House Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Bar due to concerns that it may contain wood fragments. The recall, announced by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, is limited to two batches of the Toll House Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough “break and bake” Bar produced on April 24 and 25. While there have been no reports of illnesses or deaths related to the product, Nestle decided to recall the item as a precautionary measure after receiving a small number of consumer complaints.

The affected cookie dough bars have batch codes 311457531K and 311557534K, with corresponding “best by” dates of 8/22/23 and 10/23/23. If you have purchased these products, it is advised not to consume the dough. Instead, return the item to the store where it was purchased for a replacement or refund. It’s important to note that this recall only applies to the Toll House Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Bar and does not affect any other varieties of Nestle Toll House refrigerated cookie dough or the Edible cookie dough.
