NC House Speaker Faces Lawsuit Alleging Inappropriate Behavior

In a lawsuit filed against the North Carolina speaker of the House, Tim Moore, some shocking allegations have emerged. According to reports from WSOC-TV, Moore is accused of having an affair with the wife of a former Apex City councilman, as well as participating in group sex with individuals seeking political favors from him. The lawsuit, filed by Scott Riley Lassiter, the former city councilman, claims that he heard rumors of his wife’s affair with Moore and eventually caught them together. When confronted at a Biscuitville in Raleigh, they both admitted to an affair that had been ongoing for several years. Lassiter is now seeking $200,000 in damages for alienation of affection, as his marriage has since dissolved, according to WRAL.

Lassiter further alleges in the lawsuit that his wife, who had known Moore due to her job in the state government, engaged in sexual activity with Moore as well as other individuals in an effort to maintain her job. The lawsuit also claims that Moore had a camera installed on Lassiter’s property, presumably to gather incriminating evidence against him and dissuade him from pursuing legal action. Both Lassiter’s estranged wife and Moore deny the allegations, with Moore calling them “baseless.” Lassiter’s ex describes their marriage as a “nightmare” and asserts that Lassiter, who has a history of mental health and substance abuse issues, likely filed the lawsuit due to these problems.
