Fortunately, the trophy was found in Sparky Gonzales’ room, the Nuggets’ longtime equipment guru, just in time for the parade. It was reported by Sports Illustrated that the NBA Finals trophy was back in the hands of its rightful owner.
Jokic’s incredible performance throughout the NBA Finals earned him the Bill Russell Finals MVP trophy. He averaged 30.2 points, 14.0 rebounds, and 7.2 assists in five games, leading the Nuggets to their first-ever NBA title after a 47-year wait.
