The Chicago Bulls are anticipating that Lonzo Ball, their star point guard, will not be able to return for another season due to his left knee injury, according to Arturas Karnisovas, the executive vice president of basketball operations. While they are hopeful for a comeback, the team’s expectation is for Ball to focus on his recovery.

Ball has been out since January 2022 and underwent a cartilage transplant in March, which marked his third knee operation in just over a year. Karnisovas mentioned that Ball has recently stopped using crutches.
