Comedian Nate Bargatze to make hosting debut on “Saturday Night Live” stage on October 28, as announced by the long-running sketch show on Tuesday. The episode will feature the Foo Fighters as the musical guest.

On Instagram on Tuesday, Bargatze expressed his excitement, saying it’s a dream come true for him.

Bargatze, known for his family-friendly comedy, has been featured in several Netflix stand-up specials, including “The Tennessee Kid” in 2019 and “Greatest Average American” in 2021, which earned him a Grammy nomination. Visit his website here.

His latest special, “Hello, World,” is currently streaming on Prime Video, and he is on his “The Be Funny” stand-up tour. Bargatze also hosts a weekly comedy podcast called “Nateland.”

This will be the ninth time the Foo Fighters appear on “SNL” as the musical guest. They released their latest album, “But Here We Are,” in June and have been on tour since.

The band last appeared on “SNL” in 2020.

Sadly, the band’s drummer Taylor Hawkins passed away last year while they were on tour in Columbia. He was 50 years old.

In May, Josh Freese joined the Foo Fighters as their new drummer.

Last week’s episode of “SNL” was hosted by comedian and “SNL” alum Pete Davidson, who opened the show with a message about the conflict in the Middle East. The episode also featured surprise appearances by Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift, who have since confirmed their romance.

Puerto Rican rapper and singer Bad Bunny will be the host and musical guest on the next new episode of “SNL,” airing on October 21. You can catch “SNL” on NBC at 11:30pm ET/8:30pm PT, and it also streams live on Peacock.
