Additionally, he had an innate ability to sense and react to our emotions with empathy, providing comfort and healing when our children were hurt, afraid, or traumatized. Romeo was a natural consoler who replenished our spirits, and he was always dependable.
Whenever we returned home after being away, Romeo would eagerly wait by the front window, his face pressed against the glass, his tail wagging furiously. As soon as we opened the front door, he would explode with excitement as if his body was charged with electric currents. His enthusiastic greetings made us feel as though we had returned from a demanding tour of duty, momentarily restoring the sense of harmony in our world.
In our lives, Romeo served as a tranquil and reassuring presence. My daughter cherished the unwavering consistency and purity of his affection, while my son referred to him as our “connecting point” because Romeo brought us laughter and fostered our familial bond.
