MTV VMA Nominations: Blackpink Receives 6 Nominations, Tomorrow X Together with 4

South Korean girl group Blackpink has been nominated for six categories at this year’s MTV Video Music Awards, along with other K-pop bands, according to the US TV station.

Based on the list of nominees released by MTV on Friday, Blackpink received nominations for Best Editing, Best Art Direction, Best Choreography, Best K-pop, Group of the Year, and Show of the Summer.

Last year, the quartet made their debut as a K-pop girl band at the awards show with their hit song “Pink Venom.”

K-pop group Tomorrow X Together has also received four nominations for their song “Sugar Rush Ride” in the categories of Group of the Year, Song of the Summer, Push Performance of the Year, and Best K-pop.

Girl group Fifty Fifty has earned three nominations for their song “Cupid” in the categories of Group of the Year, Song of the Summer, and Best K-pop.

BTS member Jungkook’s debut solo single, “Seven,” has been nominated for Song of the Year.

Other K-pop groups like Seventeen and NewJeans have been nominated for Group of the Year.
