He credited his positive meeting with the Canadiens’ staff the day before as a factor in his selection. Reinbacher, who played in Switzerland with EHC Kloten, led the Swiss league in points by a player under 20. Standing at six feet two inches, Reinbacher possesses maturity in his defensive game, good skating skills, and potential in all aspects of the game, according to his former coach, Jeff Tomlinson. Tomlinson’s support and guidance made Reinbacher’s journey to the draft easier and instilled confidence in him.
