Momo the Monkey Safely Returns to Indianapolis Home After a Wild Night in Town

The Indianapolis Police Department recently dealt with an unusual situation involving an escape artist primate named Momo. This mischievous monkey managed to evade capture for nearly 24 hours after escaping from its owner’s residence on the east side of the city.

The escape was first reported on Wednesday evening, prompting the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) to take immediate action. They received multiple calls about a pet monkey on the loose.

The IMPD quickly mobilized search efforts to locate the elusive Momo. They issued a statement on X, stating, “IMPD is assisting Indianapolis Animal Control Services with a monkey on the loose near 500 Ironridge Ct.”
