Michelle Dee recently expressed her commitment to representing the Philippines in the upcoming Miss Universe 2023 pageant. She vows to give her all and strives for perfection in her journey.
As she prepares for the global competition, Dee shared in an interview with 24 Oras that she dedicates the majority of her time to training and fulfilling her responsibilities as a beauty queen. She acknowledged the fullness of her schedule but emphasized the importance of prioritization.
The beauty queen also disclosed that renowned fashion designer Mark Bumgarner will be designing her gowns for the pageant. While she didn’t reveal details about her preliminary or coronation gown, she praised Bumgarner’s ability to understand her vision and expressed confidence that the gowns will be iconic.
In an interview with GMA’s Unang Balita, Dee further emphasized her dedication to the competition, stating that she’s investing 200% of herself and leaving no room for errors or weaknesses. She’s working tirelessly on various aspects of her campaign to ensure she’s fully prepared for the competition in El Salvador.
Dee aims to follow in the footsteps of past Miss Universe Philippines winners, such as Gloria Diaz, Margarita Moran, Pia Wurtzbach, and Catriona Gray, and bring home the fifth Miss Universe crown for the country.
The Miss Universe 2023 pageant is scheduled for November 18, and reigning titleholder R’Bonney Gabriel will pass the crown to her successor. EDV
