Hollywood actor Michael J. Fox received an outpouring of love and support from his family at a recent Parkinson’s charity event in New York. The 62-year-old actor was surrounded by his wife Tracy Pollan, his 34-year-old son Sam Michael, and his 28-year-old twin daughters Aquinnah Kathleen and Schuyler Frances at the Michael J. Fox Foundation Hosts A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To Cure Parkinson’s event at Cipriani South Street.
Dressed in a purple sweatshirt and matching plaid jacket, the Back to the Future star looked happy and healthy at the star-studded event. The family posed for a fabulous photo opportunity, with Tracy and their children dressed elegantly for the occasion.
The event also saw some of Hollywood’s biggest names in attendance, including Michael’s close friend and Back to the Future co-star Christopher Lloyd. Newly engaged couple Justin Long and Kate Bosworth were seen looking lovingly at each other, and stars like Julianne Moore and Joan Jett added to the glamour of the event.
During a CBS interview, Michael opened up about his battle with Parkinson’s and expressed gratitude for his wife Tracy’s unwavering support. The couple celebrated their 35th wedding anniversary this past July and continues to remain each other’s rock through difficult times.
Despite his health struggles, Michael remains optimistic and has been actively involved in Parkinson’s research, having launched The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research in 2000. The foundation has raised over $1.75 billion for Parkinson’s research and has been dedicated to finding a cure for the disease.
Last year, Michael was honored by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences with an honorary Academy Award for his humanitarian efforts. His immense contributions have made a significant impact on both Parkinson’s research and on the lives of those affected by the disease.
