Mercedes Concept CLA Introduces ‘Hypermiler’ EV Capable of a Brighton to Edinburgh Journey

Mercedes-Benz is set to release a new electric family car next year that boasts an impressive range. The Concept CLA, which was unveiled at the 2023 Munich motor show, previews the upcoming electric CLA model, which will be revealed in production form within the next 12 months. The vehicle is capable of covering a distance of 466 miles on a full charge, making it possible to travel from Brighton to Edinburgh without the need for a charging stop. The Concept CLA also showcases a new platform that will support Mercedes’ shift to electrification. Mercedes-Benz Chairman, Ola Källenius, describes it as a precursor to a new all-electric segment of entry-level vehicles for the brand. This new model is part of Mercedes’ commitment to achieving net carbon neutrality by 2040. The Concept CLA Class will be joined by three other new models in Mercedes’ compact vehicle lineup, including a CLA Shooting Brake estate, a four-door CLA coupe, and two SUVs. These vehicles will offer enhanced features, improved comfort and safety, and advanced technology.
