Matthew Perry Tribute: Celebrate Chandler Bing’s Best Moments with a ‘Friends’ Marathon on TBS

During its 10 seasons, the iconic TV series Friends produced numerous memorable moments, often starring the unforgettable character Chandler Bing, portrayed by the late actor. To commemorate his life and legacy, TBS will broadcast a five-day marathon showcasing Chandler Bing’s best moments, starting on November 1st and ending on November 5th.

The marathon has been divided into themed segments that will be aired throughout its duration. On Wednesday, November 1st, from 6 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., viewers can enjoy the “Best of Chandler” marathon, featuring 24 episodes, including fan-favorites such as “The One Where Chandler Can’t Remember Which Sister” and “The One With Chandler in a Box”.

On Thursday, November 2nd, from 6 a.m. to 12 p.m., the marathon continues with the “Best of Chandler and Joey’s Friendship” segment, consisting of 12 episodes. This segment includes a few repeated episodes but also introduces beloved episodes like “The One Where Monica Sings” and “The One Where Joey Moves Out”.

Friday, November 3rd, will feature a marathon highlighting the romance between Chandler and Monica titled “Best of Chandler and Monica’s Relationship”. Running from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., this marathon will showcase episodes such as “The One With Ross’ Wedding, Part 2” and the two-parter episodes “The One With the Proposal” and “The One With Monica and Chandler’s Wedding”.

Saturday, November 4th, and Sunday, November 5th, will have an encore marathon called “Best of Chandler Encore”. This marathon will re-air select episodes from earlier in the week, such as “The One With All the Thanksgivings” and “The One With the Blackout”. A total of 9 episodes will be shown on Saturday, followed by 13 episodes on Sunday. The series is currently available for streaming on Max, which has added a tribute card to the beginning of each season.

On Saturday, it will mark one week since Matthew Perry’s passing at the age of 54 on October 28th. Perry was found unresponsive in a hot tub at his Los Angeles residence. In an exclusive statement to People, the cast of Friends including Jennifer Aniston, Lisa Kudrow, David Schwimmer, Courteney Cox, and Matt LeBlanc, expressed their devastation over Perry’s loss and emphasized their bond as a family. They stated, “There is so much to say, but right now we’re going to take a moment to grieve and process this unfathomable loss. In time we will say more, as and when we are able. For now, our thoughts and love are with Matty’s family, his friends, and everyone who loved him around the world.”
