Massive International Manhunt Commences: Tragic Discovery of Deceased Woman at Boston Airport

International Manhunt Launched After Woman Found Dead at Boston Airport Garage

A missing woman discovered dead in a parking garage at Boston Logan International Airport has sparked an international manhunt. Authorities have identified the suspect as Kevin Kangethe, who is believed to have fled to Kenya.

The body of Margaret Mbitu, 31, was found inside a vehicle in the airport’s parking garage on Wednesday. Her family had reported her missing just days before. Massachusetts State Police have stated that Mbitu’s murder was not a random act and that she and Kangethe were known to each other.

“Massachusetts State Troopers discovered a deceased adult female in the Central Parking garage at Logan Airport on Nov. 1, 2023. The victim was identified as Margaret Mbitu, 31, and evidence suggests she was the victim of a homicide,” authorities stated.

Kangethe, 40, is believed to have fled to Kenya. Massachusetts State Police Detectives have obtained an arrest warrant and are cooperating with Kenyan authorities to locate him.

“We urge the suspect to surrender to authorities before more harm is done,” said Suffolk County District Attorney Kevin Hayden. “We are doing everything in our power to bring him into custody and provide justice for Margaret Mbitu and her grieving loved ones.”

There is no current threat to the public or to travelers at Logan Airport. Further details are being withheld to preserve the integrity of the ongoing investigation.
