Aug. 2 (UPI) — A mesmerizing incident occurred in Massachusetts when two siblings looked outside their Hingham home and were astonished to find a bear doing laps in their backyard pool.

Sebastian Stafani was calmly watching TV when he caught sight of the bear engrossed in an aquatic adventure.

His shouts of surprise instantly drew the attention of his sister, Anabelle Stafani, who swiftly rushed downstairs, fearing that her brother was hurt.

“I thought he had injured himself. But as I reached downstairs, I was dumbfounded to see a bear taking a refreshing dip in our swimming pool,” Anabelle recounted in an interview with WHDH-TV.

The siblings managed to record the bear’s exploits as it explored their yard and even chewed on a water gun.

“I couldn’t believe what I was witnessing. How did he get in there?” wondered Sebastian, baffled by the bear’s unexpected presence.

An animal control officer promptly arrived at the scene and successfully convinced the bear to leave the premises.

Interestingly, the siblings discovered that the bear inadvertently helped them with a chore.

“After swimming, he got out and cleared the pine needles from the pool filter. So, in a way, he did us a favor,” Anabelle shared with a hint of gratitude.
