Married At First Sight: Mel Schilling Chooses London Over Australia

Relationship expert Mel Schilling has become a household name in the UK since her move to London with her husband and daughter for the British version of Married At First Sight in 2021. While she has returned for season 11 of the Australian version currently being filmed in Sydney, Mel has decided to permanently leave Australia behind.
Rather than settling back Down Under, Mel has been traveling between Sydney and London to be closer to her family during production breaks. Despite the distance, Mel is content with her new life in the UK and has no plans to relocate back to Australia anytime soon, according to a close friend.
Filming both the UK and Australian versions simultaneously at one point, Mel has been sharing her recent travels on social media while the new cast settles into their married lives in Australia after the initial round of filming. During her latest adventure, Mel reunited with her husband Gareth Brisbane, who hails from Northern Ireland, and their daughter Maddie, taking a break from the demanding shooting schedule to cherish their family time.
As Married At First Sight UK prepares to premiere its eighth season, Mel will return to the series alongside Paul C. Brunson and Charlene Douglas. This comes after Mel’s move to London in 2021 to join the British version of the controversial dating show. Meanwhile, the upcoming season of MAFS Australia is set to be the most diverse yet, featuring a same-sex couple and the oldest pairing in the show’s history. Mel, alongside John Aiken and Alessandra Rampolla, will also make a comeback for the eleventh season of the Channel Nine dating series.
