Mark Wright breaks down in tears as his father recounts the passing of his brother Eddie due to Covid-19.

Mark Wright was moved to tears during his new BBC show, A Wright Family Holiday, as his father, Mark Senior, emotionally recounted the passing of his brother Eddie to Covid-19. Eddie, who was the father of reality TV star Elliott Wright, tragically lost his life at 66 years old after an eight-week battle with the virus in March 2021. Mark’s father, who contracted COVID-19 himself, spoke about his close bond with his late brother in the presence of Mark and his footballer brother, Josh. While discussing whether Eddie would have approved of Mark Senior’s decision to venture into a cave during their latest family trip, he revealed, “He’s here with me, that’s why I did it. Trust me, he’s here, I felt it, 1000%.” The emotional conversation between the family members brought Mark to tears, and Josh comforted his dad by saying, “He would be so proud, that’s for sure.” In a heartfelt Instagram post, Mark had previously expressed his love and admiration for his beloved uncle, stating that Eddie had been instrumental in teaching him what it meant to be a man. A Wright Family Holiday is currently available on BBC iPlayer.
