Man United Draw Bayern, PSG, Milan, Dortmund, and Newcastle in Champions League

The 2023-24 UEFA Champions League group stage draw provided plenty of excitement on Thursday, as Bayern Munich was paired with Manchester United, Napoli drew Real Madrid, and Paris Saint-Germain will face Newcastle United. While there may not have been a “group of death,” there are several intriguing matchups and favorable paths for the top seeds.

Confirmed UCL 2023-24 groups

  • Group A: Bayern Munich, Manchester United, Copenhagen, and Galatasaray
  • Group B: Sevilla, Arsenal, PSV Eindhoven, and Lens
  • Group C: Napoli, Real Madrid, SC Braga, and Union Berlin
  • Group D: Benfica, Inter, Red Bull Salzburg, and Real Sociedad
  • Group E: Feyenoord, Atletico Madrid, Lazio, and Celtic
  • Group F: Paris Saint-Germain, Borussia Dortmund, Milan, and Newcastle United
  • Group G: Manchester City, RB Leipzig, Red Star Belgrade, and Young Boys
  • Group H: Barcelona, Porto, Shakhtar Donetsk, and Antwerp

One of the most fascinating groups is Group F, which features PSG, Borussia Dortmund, Milan, and Newcastle United. This group brings together the Qatar-owned French champions and the Saudi-backed Premier League outfit, as well as U.S. men’s national team star Christian Pulisic and new Magpies star Sandro Tonali. Milan’s Yunus Musah and Dortmund’s Gio Reyna, two more Americans, will also be players to watch in this group.

In other groups, Bayern Munich and Manchester United will face each other in Group A, while Napoli and Real Madrid have been matched up in Group C. Defending UCL champions Manchester City and RB Leipzig will meet again in Group G, and Group D will see a rematch between Inter and Benfica, who faced off in the quarterfinals last season. Arsenal, Atletico Madrid, and Barcelona should be satisfied with their draws, as they all have favorable routes to the knockout rounds.

The full fixture details and timings will be confirmed once all broadcasting and logistical clashes have been taken into consideration.
