June 27 (UPI) — The New York police recently witnessed an extraordinary sight as they embarked on an adventurous mission to capture a pair of escaped horses. It took the collective effort of around twelve officers and skilled animal handlers to successfully corral the runaway equines, named Bonnie and Logan. The horses managed to break out of their barn at Faddegon’s Nursery and began their impromptu journey, which eventually led them to the Shaker Ridge Country Club, after a thrilling sprint through local streets and parking lots.

The horses’ escapade prompted the intervention of the Colonie Police Department. Sergeant Joe Fitzsimmons recounted their endeavors to the Albany Times-Union, stating that they diligently worked to divert traffic away from the horses, ensuring their safety. Despite initial unsuccessful attempts to wrangle the equines with the assistance of local animal control officers and nursery staff, the rescuers hatched an unconventional plan. Recognizing the futility of immediate capture, they decided to let the horses tire themselves out by allowing them to roam freely on the golf course.

Ultimately, the team managed to capture the mother horse, and the curious colt obediently followed her back to their barn. The Colonie Police Department provided a positive update on the situation through a Facebook post, announcing the successful corraling of the horses and their reunion with their owners. With this heartening conclusion, stability was restored to the incident.
